Worcestershire Cricket Club is based in UK and was founded in 1865. The club is one of the oldest cricket club from UK and first ever meeting of the club was held in The star hotel, Worcester on 4th July 1865. The team had started playing cricket since 1840 before the club formation and have played so many county cricket matches which were known as the top most county matches in UK. From then the club has played for Malvern College, Bromsgrove School, Cotswold, Magpies, Burton-on-Trent etc.

The club has won county championship on 5 occasion mainly 1964, 1965,1974,1988, and 1989 apart from the county championship the club has also won Sunday leagues on three occasion mainly 1971, 1987 and 1988. The club have also won an Refuge Assurance cup in 1991 and Natwest Pro40 league in 2007. After introduction to the one day cup the club has reached in the final 12 times and won Gillette cup in 1963.

Here are the current team details and facilities that club provides to the players. Currently the club has 2 senior teams playing in different county tournaments. Namely First XI and Second XI. The club has a very good cricketing structure and maintained the detailed information of the club. The club’s First XI has played over 46 matches from March 2014 to September 2014. And Second XI have played 26 matches from April 2014 to September 2014.

National Players: The club has produced so many first class cricketers as well as youth cricketers. Best example we can give is Moeen Ali current England national team player who also represented Worcestershire County Cricket club.

Currently the club has a solid coaching staff. Mr Kevin Sharp is the current coach of WCCC Second XI team with the assistance of Matt Mason for bowling coach the club also focuses on strength for which they have assigned a strength and conditioning Coach Mr. Ross Dewar.

Youth Development:

The club also focuses on the youth development currently the club is also running a cricket academy which focuses on cricket development in youth. Through this programme the club has produced quality players who have represented Under 15 team and Under 19 team. The club has repressed 5 players in super 4s and 6 players in 2015 years. The clubs players also represented the Midlands Bunbury Under 15 side with 3 going on to play in North Vs south 3 day event.
